That's exactly why we decided to jump on the chance to participate in The Big Fake Wedding hosted at The Arbor Room here in Charleston.
Now this isn't your typical expo, because it's exactly what its name implies, a fake wedding. The event allows vendors to showcase their talents in a mock wedding with a real couple, where all the “guests” are couples looking for vendors for their own wedding.
So, we did what we do best and started to capture the beauty of the day. We met up with the bridal party – shout out to the beautiful Elizabeth Boer and her husband Bryan who were the amazing couple chosen for the event, and renewing their vows for their 5 year anniversary.
The events timeline was compressed into a much shorter version of what the real day would be like for convenience of the guests, which required us to really hustle and be on our game.
Between the private session and having guests interacting with fellow vendors, we had our hands full to make sure we didn't miss a single thing so that everyone could get imagery that would show off their amazing work.
And speaking of vendors…
We had an amazing time getting to know fellow photographers, The Ten Oh Eight and Wyeth Photography, who worked the wedding with us. It was definitely a sight to see having 5 photographers performing circus level acrobats trying to work one scene at the same time.
Meeting other creators whose passion is to serve couples and help create an unforgettable wedding day is something we love to do. Listening to their stories and learning about their success is such an inspiration to our pursuit to do the very same thing.
We left the expo full of ideas to push our photography as well as our business.
